Greetings SUSD Teachers, Principals, and Assistant Principals!
As you have read in the Tentative Employment Agreement, the District is supportive of a .5 release time position which I have accepted. Part of that .5 obligation includes working with Katy Cavanagh to develop a component of the teacher evaluation instrument that will connect pay-for-performance and student achievement in alignment with state legislation (SB 1040).

Arizona Fails to Win 'Race To The Top' Grant
Arizona is not among the winners announced today for the Race to the Top grant, the largest federal education grant ever awarded.
Other than Hawaii, in fact, no state west of Ohio has won any of the roughly $3.4 billion in grants to be handed out over four years.
